4-H 1950's

John Edward Schorr

Born: April 30, 1944, Philadelphia, PA
To Wag Schorr & Marie Gibbons
Died: March 23, 1985, Denver, CO

John came to Arizona when he was 5 years old with his parents
and 3 older brothers where his parents bought the Canelo Hills Ranch in
Canelo, Arizona. He was very active in 4-H along with his brothers.
He graduated from Patagonia Union High School in 1961 and from there
he graduated from the University Of Arizona. He attended Medical School
at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, where he received his
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. He completed his internship in Nova Scotia.
He moved to New York, deciding not to pursue his medical career
and instead built a successful contracting business.

John was a well traveled man with a keen interest in the arts, a fun and
interesting person to be with. Life was never dull around him, he put color in it.

As his health deteriorated he moved to Colorado to be close to
his oldest brother, Wag, where he died surrounded by family.
